Our remaining tour dates for 2016 are
In 2016, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of The Queen Is Dead with a storming UK tour. In April, we also played 2 memorable concerts in Los Angeles at the Smiths/Morrissey Convention in Hollywood.
We return to a small number of favourite venues this autumn to commemorate both the greatest live album ever recorded and the last stand of the greatest live band ever witnessed. On 23 October 1986 during their last ever UK tour, The Smiths played Kilburn National Ballroom. The concert would be (partially) released in 1988 as Rank. 12 December 1986 The Smiths made their final ever concert appearance at Brixton Academy. We recently spoke to Liverpool writer Shaun Duggan about it. He was with Morrissey at the venue during the afternoon and specifically requested a return of William, It Was Really Nothing to the setlist. It was played.
We hope that you will join us from far and wide. Thanks for spreading the good news. Long live The Smiths Live.
